New Feet Store Donates 52 Pairs of Comfort Shoes to Charity’s Closet

Thrift Store Proceeds Help Fund H.I.S. House Homeless Intervention Shelter

SEAL BEACH, Calif., June 16, 2010 –  New Feet Global Franchise Inc., the franchise specializing in arch supports, comfort shoes and related products, recently donated 52 pairs of comfort shoes to Charity’s Closet, a thrift store that helps fund H.I.S. House, a homeless intervention shelter in Placentia.

“We were very glad to get the shoes, and they have been selling very well,” said Barbara Goff, co-manager of Charity’s Closet. “We have several customers who have sore feet, and they really appreciate being able to find shoes that really are comfortable and that they can afford.”

The staff at Charity’s Closet is all volunteer, and sales proceeds are used to fund H.I.S. House. Located at 134 N. Bradford Avenue in Placentia, the thrift store serves the community by offering low cost, quality clothing, shoes, furniture and other household goods.

“We enjoy helping others and are pleased that our donation was so well received,” said Maria Beane, president and CEO of New Feet Global Franchise Inc. “It is important to us to be involved in making a difference in our community, and we look forward to supporting other local charitable organizations.”
